A rainbow lights the sky
and then fades
but I see it still
You came to me for a time
lit my life, set me to dreaming
You too were beautiful
It has been a good while since I participated in One Single Impression, but check it out for other poets visions of transience or permanence.

Nice poem Sian. Great work.
I wonder how it is we see what has vanished. Our minds move through time at their own rate.
These were lovely to read. Thanks so much for joining us this week.
Writing in Faith: Poems
I especially like the rainbow poem. These are both lovely.
That's very lovely :)

What do both of them mean transcience and permanence
Thanks folks :o)
Sara: Somethings...and some relationships... are transient, but the beauty that they give remains with us
It is strange how something that disappers we are still able to see the image. Very nice.
i think the last line would be cooler if it was 'you were too beautiful'.
Too beautiful to behold/contain/maintain/last.. bollocks like that, i think its good.
Shurrup, alright?!! :pxx
..thank u for sharing what u feel..
That's quite alright, I've got plenty more sharing and feeling where that came from...
